Frequently Asked Questions

STEP 1: Team Registration

Team registration is only open for one day, with no exceptions.

  • April 5th, 2024 - Returning Rider & Sibling Registration

  • April 6th, 2024 - New Rider Registration

Before registering with the Utah High School Cycling League (Step 2), you must register and be accepted on the Crimson Cliffs Team. Team Registration is a one-day event handled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our team has a hard cap, and once we close team registration, there are no late entries or exceptions.

Team Fees

  • $165 + $50 volunteer fee* — Team Fees

  • ~$200 — Race Kit/Uniform Cost

*The $50 volunteer deposit is per family, not per rider, and will be returned to parents in the form of 2 tickets to the end-of-season banquet after they have volunteered twice during the season for each rider on the team.

How To Complete Team Registration (watch video)

  1. Click the Register button below to be taken to Active.com registration form.

  2. Select the appropriate number of rider registrations, click ‘Continue’

  3. Fill in parent contact information in the “Your Information Section”, and click ‘Next’

  4. There are two tabs in this Crimson MTB Registration section. ‘Myself’ (Parent Info) and ‘Minor’ (Rider Info). FILL OUT BOTH SECTIONS. DO NOT CLICK NEXT UNTIL THE ‘MYSELF’ AND THE ‘MINOR’ SECTIONS ARE COMPLETE FOR EACH RIDER YOU ARE REGISTERING. In the Minor section, list the grade your rider will be in at the start of the fall school year.

  5. If you followed step 4 correctly, your Rider’s name (not the parent’s) will appear next to the fees owed. If correct, proceed to the Waiver section. If you see the Parent name next to fees owed, GO BACK to step 4 and complete BOTH TABS before clicking ‘Next’.

STEP 2: League Registration

Utah High School Cycling League Registration

Registration for this league opens on April 1st and is done via an area of their website referred to as the “Pit Zone”. Unlike team registration, which is a one day only event, riders and coaches have up until first practice (usually the first week of June), to complete league registration. Instructions will be sent out to all team members after the team registration is closed.

The Crimson Cliffs Mountain Bike Team is a sanctioned member of the Utah High School Cycling League, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, was organized in 2011 and is an affiliate league of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association. As such, registration with the Utah High School Cycling League is required in addition to team registration.

League Fees

  • $300 — Junior Devo Racer (7th and 8th grade)

  • $360 — High School Racer

  • First, check your spam folder. The invite often gets diverted. The invite will come directly from NICA and provides the PitZone registration link. Still can’t find it?

  • Yes. Regardless of whether they are going to race, they need to pay their league fees. NICA sets these fees, which are out of our control.

STEP 3: Get Ready To Ride

Once you’ve completed your team and league registrations, it’s time to get ready to ride.

  1. Download TeamSnap: CCMBT uses the App TeamSnap to update you on everything going on with the team. From practices to race day information and even our end-of-the-year banquet. You can get Team Snap on the app store or by the links here: TeamSnap iPhone | TeamSnap Android

  2. Start getting your equipment together. Before the season starts, we will have a bike/equipment check meeting. You must show you have everything you need to start the season.

  3. Work on your coaching certifications and plan how you will be volunteering. You are REQUIRED to volunteer a MINIMUM OF TWICE PER SEASON PER RIDER.

  4. Check out the Race Schedule (Region 6) and book/plan accommodations, as accommodations fill up quickly.
