First Team

the first crimson cliffs mountain bike race team, 2018. Founded by current director Chris tidwell.

Team History

Crimson Cliffs MTB race team is a high school based mountain bike team that competes throughout the state of Utah in the Utah High School Cycling League. In 2012 high school mountain biking in Southern Utah was born via a composite team from all 5 high schools in Washington Country. Team Flying Monkeys. After that teamed swelled to 200 riders it was determined that each high school would form their own team.

2018 Crimson Cliffs middle school was opened and a 6th team was formed and founded by current director Chris Tidwell. In its first year Crimson had 32, 7th, 8th and 9th grade riders. By their second season, Crimson Cliffs more than doubled to 73 riders. 4 years after its founding, the 2022 team membership saw participation from over 130 student athletes.
